Trauma therapy is not just therapy: it is the restoration of dignity. When a person is emotionally wounded, shamed, or humiliated, their brain changes. Research shows that following such experiences, the brain regions involved in self-experience begin to shrink, particularly in the precuneus and the posterior and anterior cingulate cortex.
In simpler terms: A deeply humiliated person no longer wants to feel themselves. This internal withdrawal from the self, the loss of self-contact and inner rootedness, may well be the most painful consequence of psychological trauma. And it is precisely here that the deeper purpose of trauma therapy begins: It is not merely about treating symptoms. It is re-connection, re-embodiment, and the careful reconstruction of one’s dignity.

Are you ready for specialized trauma therapy?

Our work blends neurobiology, attachment, and compassion to help you reconnect with yourself and the people who matter most. We honor healing that unfolds at the pace of felt safety and integrate other modalities that we’re trained in like EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS, etc to provide a therapeutic experience beyond symptom treatment.

How often do you say I’m fine?

Do you find yourself replaying conversations over and over (ruminating)? Or maybe you’re feeling stuck with symptoms that persist even after trying talk therapy? Shoulders clenched, rigid, tight. Intellectualizing and overthinking. Your jaw clamped. Exhausted. Checked out. Burned out. Your relationships full of tension; food, sleep, maybe even spending, out of control? Your relationship with yourself consisting of criticism and shame.
Trauma therapy is provided through compassionate witnessing, teaching skills so you can have the capacity to work with the big emotions, and using the science of safety to support you through the adaptations your brain and body has held on to survive, even when it’s no longer needed.

What we’re looking forward to in 2026!
